BAAS supports its members and the wider American Studies community through a variety of funding streams, most notably the BAAS Development Fund.
BAAS Development Fund
The BAAS Development Fund supports activities relating to American Studies research, pedagogy, or career development; and the development of networks or other organisations that support American Studies scholars in the UK. BAAS has access to these funds through membership subscriptions, publication income, and particular grants-in-aid from other sources.

The Â鶹AV, supported by the United States Embassy, London, formerly offered small grants for cultural, educational and outreach activities to foster American Studies and lead to a more accurate and constructive understanding of the United States in the United Kingdom. As of 2025, this programme is no longer running.
